Today's handmade Christmas challenge is to buy your cards from independent artists and designers. I don't send as many cards as I used to (I've dropped the very distant relatives and the people we met on holiday twenty years ago - and haven't seen since!) so buying less means I can buy better.
This challenge should be easy, there are so many beautiful handmade cards out there - the only difficulty is narrowing down your choices.
Buying cards is a great way to support handmade businesses. If you haven't come across it already, have a look at the Just a Card campaign.
This year I've been drawn towards natural themes and materials. Christmas doesn't have to be red and green - just look at how beautiful these browns and greys work.
And if you want to make your own cards, don't forget there are many handmade supplies for you to get crafty with too.
